Victoria Lynn Gardner

Victoria Lynn Gardner, 50, passed away on April 26th 2009, after a valiant struggle which began with pancreatic cancer. She was born at the Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, on September 17, 1958, to Vince and Dorthy Howerton. She grew up in California and graduated form Woodside High. She also attended BYU, Ricks College and the California Institute of Massage Therapy. Vickie married Kim Anthony Gardner in the Oakland California LDS temple in 1978. Vickie enjoyed travel, horseback riding, swimming, reading, watching movies, and especially caring for her family. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings.
Vickie is survived by her husband Kim of Orem, Utah, and their three children, Jared (Rose) Gardner, Raleigh, North Carolina, Krystal (Andrew) Gardner Webb, Salt Lake City, Aaron Gardner or Orem, and one grandson, Tyler Jay Gardner (N.C.). She is also survived by her father Vince Howerton of Portola Valley, CA., a brother, Wayne (Beverly) Howerton of Lawrenceville, GA., a sister Valerie (Joe) Miller of Pacifica CA., and many relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held at the Walker/Sanderson Funeral Home located at 646 East 800 North Orem, Utah, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday April 27th, 2009, a viewing will be held at the Sharon LDS Stake Center, located at 545 South 800 East, Orem, Utah, from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery immediately after the service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brian Tudor, Dr. Gary Garner, Nurse Annette Nielsen and all of the staff at the Central Utah Medical Clinic (Oncology), and the caring staff of Rocky Mountain Home Health and Community Nursing Services for their compassionate and excellent professional services.
